HP LaserJet 50.xx Fuser Error
HP documents 50.xx as a fuser-failure family. Examples include generic, low-temperature, slow-fuser, high-temperature, and fuser-open errors.
Start herePower-cycle the printer and, if it is on a surge protector, test it directly from a suitable wall outlet as HP specifies. If a 50.xx fuser error returns, HP says the fuser may need replacement/service.
What to check
Step 1
Record the entire 50.xx code.
The suffix can identify a more specific fuser condition.
Step 2
Turn the printer off for at least 30 seconds, then restart.
Wait for the printer to initialize fully.
Step 3
If a surge protector is being used, follow HP's direct-wall test.
Use a properly rated wall outlet; do not use an unsafe extension or outlet.
Step 4
If the error persists, arrange service/fuser replacement.
Fusers can be hot and model-specific. Do not touch internal fuser rollers or use a replacement procedure from a different model.
