Troubleshooting Disclaimer
Printer Triage provides general troubleshooting information to help identify common printer, scanner, Windows printing, and connectivity problems.
Printer Triage does not provide phone or remote-access support
Printer Triage does not operate a phone-support line and does not provide remote-control support sessions. We will not ask you to install remote-access software, purchase gift cards, send cryptocurrency, provide banking information, or call an unknown support number. If a person, pop-up, advertisement, or other website claims to be Printer Triage support and asks for any of those things, it is not this site.
Use model-specific instructions when available
Printer designs and service procedures vary by model. A code or procedure that applies to one printer family may not apply to another. When a page lists specific models, use the information only for the models or families identified.
Stop when a repair is beyond normal user maintenance
Do not remove covers, defeat safety switches, disassemble high-voltage components, or work around hot internal parts unless the manufacturer specifically identifies the procedure as normal user maintenance and you are qualified to perform it. Laser-printer fusers can remain hot after printing, and internal electrical components can present hazards.
Service and replacement decisions
Printer Triage can help narrow down a likely problem, but it cannot inspect your specific machine. If a fault persists after the safe steps described on the relevant page, follow the printer manufacturer's service guidance or use a qualified repair provider.
