Android phone or tablet can't find the printer

Start with Wi-Fi and Android's printing setting. You may not need another printer app at all.

1. Compare the Wi-Fi names

Make sure the Android device and printer are on the same normal home or office Wi-Fi. Guest or Visitor Wi-Fi can keep them separated.

2. Find the Android printing setting

Open Settings and search for Printing. Open the result named Printing, Print services, or similar.

Make sure a built-in or default print service is turned on.

3. Try another app

Use an app that actually has a Print option. The button may be under Menu, More, or Share. Not every Android app supports printing.

4. Restart the printer normally

Turn the printer off, wait a few seconds, then turn it back on. Wait until it is ready before checking again.

5. If it is still missing

Check the printer maker's support for your exact model. Some printers can also be added manually by IP or through the manufacturer's official app, but do not install several print services at once.

Avoid printer-fixer appsUse Android's built-in printing or the printer maker's official app. Ignore download ads and unknown support tools.
