Phone / tablet · Stuck print job

Print job stuck on iPhone, iPad, or Android

Cancel the stuck job first, then retry one simple page. You usually do not need to reset the whole printer.

iPhone or iPad

  1. Open the App Switcher.
  2. Look for Print Center. It normally appears while an AirPrint job is active.
  3. Open the print job.
  4. Tap Cancel Printing.

Wait a few seconds, then try one small print again.

Android

  1. Pull down from the top of the screen to open notifications.
  2. Look for a printing or print-progress notification.
  3. Open it and choose Cancel if that option is shown.

The exact wording can vary by Android phone and print service.

If the job will not clear

Restart the printer normally. Wait until it is ready, then send one small test job. If several apps cannot print, check the phone/tablet Wi-Fi and mobile printing setup next.

If the job disappears but nothing prints

Try another app. If another app prints, the original app or file was probably the problem.

Keep the fix smallCancel one job and test again before reinstalling apps, resetting Wi-Fi, or factory-resetting the printer.
