Printing cuts off part of the page
If part of the page is missing, too large, or shifted, start with the paper size and print preview. The printer itself may be working normally.
1. Check the paper size
Make sure the Print window shows the same size that is actually in the printer, such as Letter with Letter paper or A4 with A4 paper.
2. Look at the print preview
If the preview already shows text or pictures outside the page, fix the document, margins, orientation, or size before changing the printer.
3. Windows
In the Print window, look for Fit, Scale, Actual size, paper size, orientation, or margins. Change one thing at a time and test again.
4. Mac
Choose File → Print and check Paper Size, Orientation, and Scaling.
5. Try another simple program
On Windows, try Notepad or Paint. On a Mac, try TextEdit or Preview. If the simple page prints normally, the original program or document is the likely cause.
6. If every program cuts the page off
Make sure the correct printer is selected and that the paper size on the computer matches the printer. Re-add the printer only after these simpler checks.
