Print from an iPhone or iPad

If your printer supports AirPrint, you normally do not need to install a printer driver or extra app just to print.

1. Make sure the printer is ready

Turn it on, load paper, and clear any message on the printer itself.

2. Check the Wi-Fi

The iPhone/iPad and printer should normally be on the same Wi-Fi network. Guest or Visitor Wi-Fi can keep devices from seeing each other.

3. Print from an app

  1. Open the photo, email, webpage, or document.
  2. Tap Share or the app's Actions menu.
  3. Tap Print.
  4. Tap Printer or No Printer Selected.
  5. Choose the printer.
  6. Pick the number of copies or other options you need, then tap Print.
If you do not see PrintNot every app supports printing. Try Photos, Mail, or Safari before changing the printer.

4. If the printer does not appear

Use the iPhone/iPad can't find the AirPrint printer guide. Do not factory-reset the printer just because it is missing from the list.

5. If the print job gets stuck

Use the mobile print-job guide to open Print Center and cancel the job before trying again.
