Scanner document feeder jams or pulls more than one page
The feeder is trying to separate pages one at a time. Curled originals, mixed paper, staples, or a stack that is too large can make that difficult.
Check the originals
Set aside torn, curled, damp, glossy, very thin, or very thick pages for now. Scan those on the flatbed glass if possible.
Line up the stack
Tap the edges on a flat surface, then load the pages squarely into the feeder.
Set the guides
Move the feeder guides so they lightly touch the originals without bending them.
Try a small copy job
Use the printer's Copy button if it has one. If the same jam or double-feed happens there, the computer or scanning app is not the cause.
Use the glass if you need the scan now
If the flatbed glass works, you can finish urgent pages one at a time and then look up ADF roller/separation-pad cleaning for your exact printer model.
Printer Triage is an independent troubleshooting reference. Do not force originals backward through a feeder or remove covers that are not normal jam-access doors.
